I discovered a wonderful treasure on my computer -!
It's my George reciting the prologue to Chaucer's Canterbury Tales,
which he often performed on request,
though he used to do it standing, along with plentiful thespian delivery!
This video was made early in 2008, before he passed away.
He was less robust in his delivery, but he still had the muse!
Having the video is such a treat!
Hope you may Njoy it too!
If you knew him, you surely will!

so it's suspended pending a solution!
The problem is that it was uploaded via Facebook
and it has insisted on applying privacy & security
limitations I've not yet been able to lift.
But here is another try of it:
Another possibility is via u-tube,
but the quality suffered in the transition.
In lieu of a better solution,
one or the other should open.

By the way, our dear friend John is pictured there by George
as he delivers Chaucer. He'd witnessed the more robust deliveries,
but he obviously appreciated this one greatly.
He's been a friend a long while, - was George's best walking buddy.
His massage therapist expertise was valuable to George whenever
John voluntarily offered shoulder massages and even foot massages
whenever needed to make George more comfortable.
George was valuable to John, as well, -as confidante and wise counsel, often during those walks together,
but also when the three of us shared priceless visits when
John stopped by and we discussed life and various viewpoints.
John delivered the eulogy for George when that time came, too.
It was most heart-felt. He's a treasure too!
As you can imagine, I treasure every precious moment we shared!
Always have - but even more since that day
in 2001 when he suffered the near-fatal heart attack
which damaged his short-term memory thereafter.
This picture was taken not long after he came home from the hospital.
It was also just after 9/11/2001, which was an added shock.
But his memory was already affected by his ordeal,
so I was relieved that at least he didn't need to fret over it.
There were to be many more fun times, in fact. Many!
Here's George at an online friends'get together in Branson in 2002!
It was snapped when we were rehearsing for the talent show
we always did during these zany things.
The first action was his rendition of Elvis' grind.
The second was during his Chaucer delivery.
Yessir, that's my baby!
I miss him so.
I wish you all well! Take good care of yourselves....please!
Life is so very precious. Cherish it!
Try to make every moment count!
One way to do that is to tell and show
those you love - that you truly do - often!
